Admission Procedure

The study of Diploma Courses in different branches of Engineering has been so designed that it’s qualifying entry level is Madhyamik / Secondary / its equivalent (10th level) as minimum. Higher qualification has no restriction.
Admission to the Polytechnics is done as per rules of the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE). The WBSCTE conducts a common Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnic (JEXPO) every year for the Madhyamik / Secondary / Equivalent passed or appearing for final examination students, they make a merit list amongst the candidates securing more than 35% marks in qualifying examination. Viz. Madhyamik / Secondary. 75% of the total intake gets admission from counseling of this empanelled merit list of JEXPO and the balance / rests 25% of the total intake are selected from outside candidates by the institutions in Management Quota in accordance to their merit.

JEXPO

Intake Capacity:
75% of intake capacity of each individual discipline.
Eligibility:
Passed 10th Standard with at least 35% marks aggregate (without Additional Subject and without rounding-up) at the qualifying examination and Qualified in JEXPO Exam organized by WEBSCTE.
Age Limit :
No upper age limit, but not less than 15 years as on 1st January every year.

DIRECT ADMISSION

Intake Capacity:
25% of intake capacity of each individual discipline.
Eligibility:
Passed 10th Standard with at least 35% marks aggregate (without Additional Subject and without rounding-up) at the qualifying examination and with a valid JEXPO Rank Card. Candidates with no Jexpo Rank are required to possess 45 % marks in Mathematics & Physical Science taken together.
Age Limit :
No upper age limit, but not less than 15 years as on 1st January every year.

LATERAL ENTRY

Intake Capacity:
20% of intake capacity of each individual discipline.
Eligibility:
Passed / appeared 12th science with Vocational subjects from WBSCVET or passed 2 years ITI after 10th class.
Age Limit :
There is no age limit.

2nd, 4th & 6th semester : January – June Every Year (Even Semester).

Generator power supply: Generally in the Evening up to 11:00 pm, During Semester Examination up to night 01:00 am in hostel. But in College time all through college hour.

Bus Card

Rs 1,800.00 per semester. This fee to be deposit on semester Basis.

Rs 1,000.00 for all candidates.

Fees for Registration & Semester Examination

to be paid extra at actual (as per WBSCTE).

All payments to be made through Draft / Cash only. Cheques will not be accepted. All the fees noted above are subject to change by the competent authority. 
* Refundable to those only who complete the course successfully and during disbursement of final certificate by WBSCTE and to be paid by the management through account pay cheque only.
